Lenten Fish Fry Dinners
And many guests from all over the country plan their annual visits to family in the central Florida area around this Holy Family event.
These dinners had humble beginnings in the General Flynn Social Hall many years ago and have grown to full capacity for six Fridays during the Lenten season in the spacious St. Patrick’s Hall in the Parish Life Center at Holy Family Catholic Church.
The Lenten Fish Fry Dinners are not limited to parishioners… anybody in the community or visiting the area is welcome. Bring your whole family, friends and neighbors because you’re in for a treat.
While you wait to be seated, feel free to enjoy some complimentary munchies as well as some scrumptious appetizers for purchase. Some fan favorites of year’s past have been egg roles and clam chowder. And we also have a fully stocked bar with unlimited refills for soda and water only (after initial suggested donation) as well as house wines and craft beer available for a per serving donation.
Then get ready to enjoy our “nearly” world famous beer battered fish (with tarter sauce and malt vinegar) and all the trimmings like French fries, green beans, cole slaw and the BEST Cheesy-Mac… a favorite among the kids.
Did we mention it is ALL… YOU… CARE… TO… EAT!!!
We also have a delicious baked fish option with heart-healthy seasoning for those a little bit more health conscious as well as weekly specials. Previous specials include a shrimp dish, an alternative fish or another alternative inspired by our chefs. Weekly specials are posted in advance and these dinners include the basic sides.
Don’t forget about dessert. Each year the Men of Holy Family choose local groups and Holy Family ministries to provide homemade desserts provided at the fraction of the cost you’d find them anywhere else. And 100% of the proceeds from dessert sales go to that specific group or ministry to do their good work.
Carryout orders (not carry-in orders) are a very popular option available for purchase at the door.
Why go anywhere else? You’d be hard-pressed to find a better deal on a family-friendly budget and enjoy the fellowship and camaraderie with other guests. And you’ll get to meet many of the Men of Holy Family, as this is an event truly enjoyed by our volunteers made possible by volunteers to benefit the parish and community.
So be sure to come early because as you can imagine we draw quite the crowd. Unfortunately, we do not take reservations and all guests must be present before we can seat your party. Dates and hours will be posted as we come closer to the event date and we do accept cash and all major credit cards.
